Children and Youth
3. We envision our children and youth actively putting their faith into action by serving their church and their world and by relating meaningfully with adults.
We see:
• Our children and youth fully participating in confirmation classes so that all eligible youth become church members who actively participate in church activities.
• Our children and youth participating regularly in worship, service projects, and mission outreach endeavors.
• Our children, youth, and adults associating with each other in friendly and supportive ways—knowing, listening and responding lovingly to each other as each shares his or her life's journey.
• Our children and youth, through regular discipleship, becoming affirmed and strengthened in their faith, together and individually,
as they discover their value and become empowered to invest the church with their own gifts.

“Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example
in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
—1 Timothy 4:12
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them;
for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’ ”
—Matthew 19:14
