Worship at Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian
Church is the heart of our congregation's life together. We hold
two worship services each Sunday at 9:00-10:00 a.m. and
11:00-12:00 a.m. Our minister presents biblically based,
intelligent, and challenging sermons for a warm, friendly
congregation while retaining the messages to our daily lives.
Cedar Heights also has a long history of an excellent music
ministry. There are many opportunities for participation for
members of all ages.
We follow a reformed order of worship, with
central attention given to the Word. Our service reflects three
emphases: preparing for the Word, listening to the Word, and
responding to the Word. We value and welcome children in
worship.
Christian Education for all ages is offered
during the 10:00 hour.
Child care is available during both services.
A paging system is offered for parents who leave their children
in the nursery.
The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is generally
celebrated on the third Sunday of the month. All who are
baptized and affirm the Lordship of Christ are welcome to join
in this sacrament

This service is held in the sanctuary and lasts an hour.
Music is led by the organ and adult choir. Pocket-sized
amplifiers are available for the hearing-impaired at the
sanctuary entrances. Our facilities are ADA
(handicapped) accessible. Home delivery of copies of
the service is available. Children’s bags and worship
activities are offered for children.
This is the hour of our contemporary service. Music is
lead by a worship band and leads our congregation in
music heard today on Christian radio stations.
Communion if offered on the third Sunday of each month
at both services. All who are baptized and affirm the
Lordship of Christ are welcome to join in this
sacrament. Childcare is available for infants and
toddlers at all service. |
